Ok so, yet again, I’ve taken quite a big break between blogs. Believe me, it won’t be like that once I get to Africa!

*If you’re reading this, first of all, thank you for taking the time! **Second, if you’re reading this and not quite sure why you received an e-mail about it, I’ve most likely taken the liberty of adding your e-mail address to my blog site.  ***If you would like to be removed, please let me know by leaving a comment on this post.

***If you have given towards my trip or prayed for me (and especially if I don’t know your name), Thank You so, so much! You have blessed me more than you know!

“Blessed is the Lord, for He has shown me marvelous kindess in a strong city!”-Psalm 31:21
God has reminded me through this journey, how much He can use the willing body of Christ. You have all helped me in this goal for Africa. He has used you to answer my prayers.

If this is your first time to my site and you haven’t looked at anything over to the left yet, I encourage you to check out those links as well. Also, know that this site is where I will have all my updates for my trip while I am gone.

A little update about what God has been doing: Our team has grown to at least 50 members, many of whom were added to the team in the last few months. God is working to bring us close together even before me meet. Most of us communicate on a regular basis, including prayer for each other, and general investment of time in each other’s lives. Some of us have already met or will meet before we all come together for training in Gainesville, Ga on September 8th. In the past several months I have seen Satan attack myself and many of my teammates. He would love nothing more than to rip this team apart. Through these trials though, God has continued to bring us all closer together as a body of Christ. We have been able to listen to and intercede for each other. I know that being able to pray for so many needs has been a ministry to me and that having so many of my teammates pray for me has been such a blessing.

“Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.”-Gal. 6:2

Nearly every teammate is going through the process right now of obtaining a visa. The paperwork for this trip has been fairly lengthy and I know that several of us have honestly ended up pretty stressed out. For every teammate I’ve spoken with however, the paperwork is being completed and last minute details are being taken care of. Each one of us still has several things to do before we leave in just 34 days, including continued support raising. I ask that you pray for each and every one of us as we continue to prepare financially, spiritually, and in all other ways.  Thank you again. Your prayers do so much!
